ERT INSET DAYS FOR STATE SCHOOLS:
Would your school benefit from a day with the Education Renaissance Trust? The day is called Getting in Touch with the Inner Child, and it’s based on the one- and two-day workshops that we’ve run for groups of teachers over the past five years.

'Very successful and enjoyed by all.' Head Teacher

GETTING IN TOUCH WITH THE INNER CHILD is about the practical ingredients of education which nourish the inner child – from the greeting at the door, through the morning assembly, to the planning and conducting of lessons
The day is presented in response to Aim 2 of the National Curriculum. This states that the school curriculum should aim to promote pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development and prepare all pupils for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of life.
There is widespread support for the idea of promoting spiritual values in education, for the sake of the pupil & society. But there is also uncertainty about how to go about it. Over the one-day INSET participants will explore practical ways in which the teacher can nourish the spiritual development of the child. Through a mix of presentations and practical work, the day will help participants meet this new emphasis in education.
A resource book has been specially written for the day.
